Therapy in Amsterdam
Looking for therapy in Amsterdam?
Originally from the U.S.A., I lived, studied and worked in Madrid, Spain for 7 years before moving to Amsterdam. While living in Madrid I had a private practice tailored to expat clients and I have continued to see many of them through online therapy.
My international training and experience working with clients from around the world, along with my own experience of living abroad, puts me in a unique opportunity to work with clients who are seeking counseling while living outside of their home country. My clients have included expats, study abroad students, global professionals, third culture kids, international teachers and couples in intercultural relationships.
Although some of the issues I work on with clients relate specifically to living abroad (cultural adjustment, homesickness, repatriation, etc.), many of the topics addressed in counseling include concerns that are not specific to this population.
Other issues that I treat in therapy include:
- Eating disorders and body image concerns
- Panic attacks
- Grief and loss (including healing from the end to a romantic relationship)
- PTSD and trauma
- Self esteem
- Stress management
- Communication and assertiveness skills
- Emotion regulation
- Personal development
- Couples counseling
I work with each client to establish their therapy goals and to ensure that the treatment plan meets their individual needs and preferences. If you´re looking for therapy in Amsterdam, don´t hesitate to send me a message to request additional information or to schedule a session.
I see clients at Het Coachhuis, which is located next to Vondelpark, at Van Eeghenlaan 27, 1071 EN Amsterdam.
